Long-reach brakes on the rear tyres of the wheelchair can also be easily activated by either user or attendant to reduce speed or switch to stable, locked parking. The front tyres of the Drive Ultra-Lightweight are made from durable polyurethane (PU) for smooth manoeuvrability, while the spoked rear wheels are constructed of hard-wearing solid grey polyurethane (PU) and feature hand rims to allow active users to feel more comfortable when transporting themselves independently.
