It’s all in the name. The Lightweight Powerstroll is indeed both lightweight and powerful!
Using existing wheelchair handgrips, the Lightweight Powerstroll will turn almost any manual wheelchair into a carer controlled powered wheelchair in an instant, allowing speeds of up to 3mph and travel for up to 10 miles (16km) on full charge.
Easily fitted (and removed) in seconds, this powerstroll has a handy fabric battery pack and adapts to fit most wheelchair sizes from 14” to 20”, including narrow track wheelchairs such as the Lightweight Aluminium.An easy to use lift up strap is included, helping to increase manoeuvrability.
Weighing just 14kg and under 8kg with the battery pack removed, the Powerstroll is easy to transport. Each Lightweight Powerstroll has a trigger handset with a variable speed dial and direction button to suit the attendant and user requirements. The pack is suitable for weights of up to 115kg (18st).
This Powerstroll comes with twin ‘Drive’ wheels with 8” black non-marking tyres made from PU. Each pack uses a 12v 20ah battery which is airline friendly while the lightweight 100w 12 DC motor also means the unit extremely portable, making it ideal for travel.
This particular Lightweight Powerstroll is ideal for installation on wheelchairs with a higher or lower horizontal bar or that lack a hemi-shape, for example the XS2 or SD2.
The brackets with the Lightweight Powerstroll for wheelchairs are supplied in pairs and require no further fasteners. Also available is an extension bar to extend the telescopic bar on the PWCPP009, PWCPP009HD and PWCPP010 to enable the Powerstroll to fit to wheelchairs with a seat width of up to 24”.
